Meet Albena who relocated to Plovdiv and became Coach

Albena had been working at Modis’ Sofia office for about 3 years until she relocated to our new Plovdiv home. After spending quite some time as a Technical Support Analyst, she embarked on her new journey as Coach in Modis Plovdiv.

Hi, Albena! How do you find your new role in Modis Plovdiv?

As an incredible opportunity! I have gained quite the experience over the last couple of years and I am ready and thrilled to help my new team to perform better. I have spent 4 months here and my new job inspires me to push my limits, to be confident and to constantly gain new skills and knowledge.

What is the most important ingredient to creating a strong and successful team?

Building a strong team is as much science as it is art. I believe there are 3 key elements to an effective team:

1. Setting a clear common goal.
2. Open communication and swift decision making. When addressing problems and overcoming difficulties, communication is essential. It also facilitates building stronger connections between team members, which is a great long-term advantage.
3. Good leadership. When managing a team, you need to take full responsibility not only for your role and impact, but for everybody else’s, too.

What is your favorite thing about Modis?

My favorite thing about this company is that it gives me a chance to grow career-wise. But I also love the fact we work in a positive, nurturing, and supportive environment where everyone can find their drive and motivation.

Describe Plovdiv with only 3 words.

I can’t. You cannot describe this town in only 3 words. It is a lot different than any other Bulgarian city. People here are more positive and laid-back. The city atmosphere is on-of-a-kind, and it has a lot to do with the history and architecture you’ll find here. Everybody loves Plovdiv!
